Our mission

Quick Phaze is a software company building focused digital products that simplify how businesses operate, manage work, and solve everyday operational problems. Our first major software product, Divide, connects clients, projects, employees, tasks, files, and workflows in one environment. Quick Phaze also creates custom websites and digital experiences for businesses and brands, while additional Quick Phaze software products are being developed.

Mobile & Backend Engineer

Role summary

The Mobile & Backend Engineer helps build the technical foundation that allows Quick Phaze products to operate reliably across users, devices, and platforms. This role contributes to backend systems, APIs, databases, authentication, cloud infrastructure, mobile development, integrations, and synchronization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend systems, databases, APIs, authentication, and cloud services.
  • Contribute to mobile application development and reliable cross-device synchronization.
  • Build notifications, file storage, permissions, employee access, and shared company data.
  • Implement and maintain third-party integrations.
  • Identify architecture, performance, reliability, and security weaknesses.
  • Write maintainable, documented code and test features before deployment.
  • Translate product concepts into technically reliable systems.

Expected contribution

Contribute your own engineering judgment. Raise concerns and ideas involving architecture, performance, security, reliability, scalability, and technical capability.

Collaboration, security, and company stage

Work directly with the founder and other contributors. Communicate progress, blockers, decisions, risks, and recommendations clearly. Protect company and customer information, source code, credentials, infrastructure, documentation, and unreleased products. Quick Phaze is early-stage, and early contributors can influence its technical foundation.

Website Designer

Role summary

The Website Designer creates distinctive, polished digital experiences for Quick Phaze and its clients. Designs should respond to each client's goals, brand, content, and audience instead of generic templates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop original concepts and responsive desktop and mobile layouts.
  • Establish visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, navigation, and content presentation.
  • Collaborate with developers and review implementations for visual accuracy.
  • Maintain high visual quality and contribute creative improvements.

Expectations

Make intentional, project-appropriate decisions and propose stronger directions when useful. Communicate reasoning, revisions, requirements, and handoff information. Protect client assets, unreleased designs, files, credentials, and confidential information. Designers may contribute across company products and client projects.

Product Engineer

Role summary

The Product Engineer works at the intersection of product development and engineering, helping Quick Phaze transform product concepts into reliable, intuitive software.

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve product features across frontend, backend, or full-stack work.
  • Translate concepts into working software and simplify user experiences.
  • Participate in technical and product decisions.
  • Diagnose bugs and performance problems, write maintainable code, and test releases.
  • Consider scalability, security, accessibility, and usability.

Expectations

Think beyond individual tickets, understand why work is being built, question unnecessary complexity, and suggest better approaches. Collaborate with the founder, designers, engineers, and product contributors while protecting data, credentials, source code, infrastructure access, and unreleased product information.

Intern

Role summary

Quick Phaze internships provide practical startup experience through participation in real projects. Responsibilities depend on skills, interests, assigned area, and current company needs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned tasks and ask questions when requirements are unclear.
  • Participate appropriately in discussions and follow company work practices.
  • Assist with testing and documentation where applicable.
  • Protect confidential company and customer information.
  • Accept feedback and develop practical professional skills.

Expectations

Interns are expected to communicate, learn, take responsibility, make a reasonable effort, and act professionally. Access only systems needed for assigned work and follow the same confidentiality and basic security requirements as other contributors.

Web Developer

Role summary

The Web Developer builds and maintains responsive, polished web experiences for Quick Phaze products, internal systems, and client projects.

Responsibilities

  • Implement website and interface designs and responsive layouts.
  • Develop accessible components, forms, interactions, animations, and integrations.
  • Diagnose browser, layout, responsiveness, and performance issues.
  • Test relevant screen sizes, write maintainable code, and collaborate with designers and developers.
  • Protect company and client information and suggest improvements.

Expectations

Consider both functionality and the final experience. Do not expose secrets or privileged credentials in frontend code. Protect customer information, test before deployment, and work with the founder, designers, product engineers, backend engineers, and relevant contributors.

Payment details

Provide the account used for approved project payments.

Never enter a PayPal password, bank password, PIN, or security code in this form.

Quick Phaze believes compensation expectations should be clear before work begins. Your specific compensation for paid work will be documented and agreed upon before the applicable assignment or project begins.

Your PayPal email identifies where approved Quick Phaze payments may be sent. Compensation amounts, project scope, payment timing, and applicable conditions will be documented separately for each paid engagement or assignment unless otherwise established by a written agreement.

Agreements

Review all four agreement terms.

Before receiving access to Quick Phaze systems, source code, internal information, or client projects, you must review and accept the agreements applicable to your engagement.

Quick Phaze Engagement Agreement

Establishes the general terms governing the contributor's relationship with Quick Phaze, including responsibilities, assignments, compensation, policies, access, and termination.

  1. Parties and Effective Date. Identifies Quick Phaze and the individual and establishes the effective date.
  2. Nature of Engagement. Defines the working relationship under the applicable arrangement.
  3. Role and Scope. Establishes general role and responsibilities.
  4. Individual Project Assignments. Projects, deliverables, deadlines, and compensation may be established separately.
  5. Compensation. Paid assignments are established in writing before work begins. Onboarding does not guarantee salary, minimum hours, or an amount.
  6. Expenses. Reimbursement requires appropriate authorization and documentation.
  7. Company Policies. Contributors follow applicable security, confidentiality, access, and project policies.
  8. Confidentiality. Contributors protect Quick Phaze and client confidential information.
  9. Intellectual Property. Authorized work product is governed by the executed IP agreement.
  10. System Access. Accounts, repositories, infrastructure, files, and credentials are only for authorized work.
  11. Responsibilities and Representations. Both parties perform responsibilities under applicable written terms.
  12. Term and Termination. Defines commencement, termination, and post-termination responsibilities.
  13. Return or Deletion. Company property and confidential materials must be returned or deleted when required.
  14. Governing Law. Legal counsel must insert the appropriate jurisdiction.
  15. Entire Agreement and Amendments. Establishes how executed documents relate and may be amended.
  16. Electronic Signatures. Permits electronic execution where legally applicable.
Confidentiality & NDA

Protects confidential information belonging to Quick Phaze, its products, operations, customers, clients, and partners.

Confidential information includes

Source code; unreleased software and features; roadmaps; credentials; architecture and technical documentation; customer and client information; business plans; pricing; nonpublic financial information; internal communications; designs; internal processes; and nonpublic fundraising information.

Exclusions and permitted use

Information generally excludes material that becomes public without breach, was already lawfully known, was independently developed without confidential information, or was lawfully received from an authorized source. Confidential information may only be used for authorized Quick Phaze work.

Protection, disclosure, and survival

Use reasonable precautions, report suspected compromise promptly, follow lawful notice procedures when disclosure is legally required, and return or securely delete information when required. Applicable duties may survive the engagement.

IP & Invention Assignment

Establishes ownership and assignment rules for qualifying work created within authorized Quick Phaze work while protecting disclosed pre-existing intellectual property.

Work product can include software, source code, website code, designs, documentation, specifications, architecture, technical implementations, graphics, inventions, and deliverables created for assigned work.

Contributors should disclose pre-existing tools, code, designs, libraries, inventions, or other intellectual property. The agreement should not claim unrelated personal projects outside Quick Phaze work. Third-party and open-source licenses must be followed and undisclosed obligations avoided. The final agreement may require reasonable assistance documenting ownership.

Acceptable Use & Security

Use company systems only for authorized work. Never share credentials, publish secrets, grant unauthorized access, copy proprietary repositories for unauthorized purposes, or bypass access restrictions. Report suspected incidents promptly, maintain reasonable account and device security, follow least privilege, protect customer information, follow repository and deployment procedures, and return access when the engagement ends.
